Report on the Kyoto International Workshop and Conference 2023

We successfully concluded the four-day event with the participation of many individuals both in person and online for the International workshop and conference. We appreciate the participation of each and every one of you. The workshop had around 30 participants, and the conference had a total of 35 attendees, including 24 presenters. The presentations were delivered by distinguished invitees with significant achievements in bioethics, as well as by young researchers selected through a rigorous peer-review process. The total composition of the 41 participants is as follows: 27 researchers from Japan, 11 from South Korea, 2 from the United Kingdom, and 1 from the United States.

The survey results from the participants indicated feedback such as “we were able to have discussions considering the social and cultural differences of the United Kingdom, Japan, and South Korea” and “we hope for future events to be held.” Additionally, during the in-person sessions, various interactions were made possible through social gatherings, providing valuable opportunities for the development of future researcher networks.

京都国際ワークショップおよび国際会議 2023終了のご報告

国際ワークショップと国際会議に、対面およびオンラインともに多くの方々にご参加いただき、4日間のイベントを無事終了することができました。ご参加いただいたみなさま、ありがとうございました。ワークショップには約30名、コンファレンスには発表者24名を含む出席者35名が参加しました。発表は生命倫理学に関する豊富な実績のある招聘者のほか、査読により決定された若手研究者によって行われました（合計41名の参加者の内訳は、日本の研究者が27名、韓国の研究者が11名、イギリスの研究者が2名、アメリカの研究者が1名となりました）。

参加者からのアンケート結果では、イギリス、日本、韓国それぞれの社会的・文化的違いを踏まえたディスカッションができた、今後も開催してほしいなどのフィードバックをいただきました。また、対面では、懇親会や二次会、三次会（！？）を通してさまざまな交流ができ、今後の研究者ネットワークの発展にとって貴重な機会となりました。
