Preparation for the event requires participation in the orientation via zoom and watching a set of pre-recorded lectures in advance. The lecture videos are about four and a half hours in total and are to be watched by participants on their own between the orientation and the day of the workshop.
During the orientation (online only), the lecturers will introduce two cases to be discussed in the workshop, to be followed by an ice-breaking discussion among the participants.
On the first day of the workshop (hybrid format), participants will be divided into small groups to discuss the first case as ethics consultants on the clinical case presented. Each group’s recommendations will be shared with the whole group. The lecturers will then give comments to each group and an overall summary.
On the second day of the workshop (hybrid format), participants will be asked to discuss the second case in small groups as ethical consultants on the clinical case presented. Each group’s recommendations will then be shared with the whole group. The lecturers will then give comments to each group and an overall summary.
